Teens (Secondary School):

We offer sessions and workshops of Yoga, Mindfulness Meditation, Coaching, and Musical Therapeutical Approaches, specifically designed for teens. All the below options can be 1-2-1 or group sessions, these can be delivered face to face or virtually.

These sessions can be booked by the individual or parent and likewise if you are looking at this as a Wellbeing Team or Teacher, please get in contact with us with regards to packages we can create for you to offer to your pupils within your organisation.

  • Yoga for teens - Yoga is a safe and effective therapeutic form of exercise that will help improve physical strength, flexibility and balance. It is also proven to help adolescents improve their social, emotional and mental health. The benefits of our teen yoga sessions are:

    • To improve posture

    • To strengthen and stabilize core muscles and joints

    • To support the immune system

    • To help prevent injury

    • To develop coordination and balance

    • To promote calming techniques that help combat stress

    • To enhance social confidence whilst practicing with kindred spirits

    • To help release daily anxieties and stresses

    We use breath work throughout our teen yoga sessions and this helps to calm the body and the mind and encourages them to connect with their inner selves.

  • Meditation for teens - We all want our teens to feel safe, healthy and happy, now and in the future. Learning how to meditate at a young age will help them to develop skills to do just that. Our guided meditation sessions focus on the following themes:

    • Destress - Learning how to build resilience in stressful and challenging times

    • Calm - Learning how to notice, understand and regulate emotions

    • Kindness - Learning how kindness towards ourselves and others helps improve our happiness

    • Gratitude - Learning gratitude practices to boost positivity

    • Focus - Learning how to develop skills to remain focussed in order to be an effective learner

    • Sleep - Learning skills to help develop and sustain good sleep habits

  • Coaching for teens- Coaching has many benefits for teenagers, it offers an opportunity for them to explore their thinking, identify goals and targets and strategically plan clear actions that will help them be successful in what they wish to achieve. Teens often need someone to talk to and coaching offers them a safe space to unpick emotions, fears and dreams. As part of coaching our teens, we cover the following themes:

    • Journalling - writing things down to help express feelings and navigate thoughts

    • Mindfulness - learning skills to arrive in the present moment to help dissipate fears

    • Brainstorming & Action Plans - teaching strategic approaches to developing positive habits that help teens reach their full potential

  • Musical Therapeutical Approaches - It has been proven that singing, music and movement benefit mental and physical health and wellbeing, by:

    • Relieving stress by decreasing cortisol levels (the stress hormone)

    • Stimulating the immune response which can help teens fight off illnesses

    • Improving respiratory system - because singing involves deep breathing, using the lungs and diaphragm fully, increasing the amount of oxygen in your blood

    • Developing sense of belonging and connection - working as a team

    • Enhancing memory

    • Improving communication abilities and developing confidence

    These enjoyable sessions can consist of singing, playing instruments and/or dance. They will be bespoke to the needs and interests of the client. Teens will have fun and benefit from these sessions, whether or not they have any prior musical experience.
